Sinopsis: En 1820, en plena lucha por la Independencia del Perú, Catalina deja el convento para viajar al Real Felipe y rescatar a su hermano Ricardo, infiltrado y traicionado dentro de la fortaleza sitiada. Con la ayuda de un médico del que intenta mantenerse alejada y guiada por un hallazgo inesperado, descubre un túnel secreto que la conduce al interior del fuerte. Allí cae en manos del coronel Moncada, un hombre cruel que la manipula, la violenta y le revela pistas sobre el destino de Ricardo.
